The Flow
Title - The Flow
Medium - watercolor, acrylic and gouache on clayboard
Size - 8 x 10 inches
The photo that inspired this painting was taken by my father with his film camera in 2001 while we were on vacation in Yosemite National Park. This was a rushing river and is my earliest memory experiencing the true power of water. We went white water rafting and the rapids were absolutely terrifying. But what a rush it was.
Drawing from personal experiences and collective memories, I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and contemplation in my artwork. Through layers of transparent watercolor, opaque acrylic/gouache, and subtle scratching applied to the clayboard, I seek to transport viewers to a dreamscape where the boundaries between memory and reality blur.
Comes in a natural wood frame ready to hang or as tabletop display. Signed in bottom corner.
