Waking Dream

This piece is unique in the series because it is the only one that started with an all magenta underpainting.  I then built on top of it through several painting sessions to surround the figure and envelop her in nature.  I wanted retain the structural quality and tones that came through in the underpainting, while also showing depth through trees and space.  This painting had a very intuitive approach to it and I intentionally kept paint strokes fresh and unblended.
