Collection: Archive

This archive includes both my series of abstract figures and my "Soul In Nature" collection.

Soul in Nature explores the quiet relationship between the human spirit and the natural world. Emerging from my earlier figurative work, this series places the figure within open landscapes—sometimes grounded, sometimes dissolving into the environment itself.

These paintings are less about portraiture and more about presence—how we exist within a place, how memory and emotion are held in the land around us. The figure becomes a vessel: for stillness, for longing, for reflection.

This body of work marked a turning point in my practice, where the landscape began to carry as much emotional weight as the subject, ultimately leading toward my later explorations of memory-based environments.

Abstracted Figures

My earlier figurative work focused on simplifying the human form into something more intuitive and expressive. Rather than capturing exact likeness, I was drawn to gesture, posture, and the emotional weight a figure could carry with minimal detail. Edges softened, forms dissolved, and the figure became less about identity and more about feeling.

This approach allowed space for interpretation—for the viewer to step in, to recognize something familiar without it being fully defined. That process of abstraction became foundational in my practice, eventually carrying into my landscapes, where memory and atmosphere began to take precedence over realism.
