This fox has become a familiar visitor around our home in the Texas Hill Country. We see him often enough that we’ve given him a name, and I’m fairly certain he has a den tucked away somewhere behind our house. This original watercolor was inspired by those quiet encounters—the kind that make the wildness of this place feel wonderfully close.

Painted with loose, expressive washes and delicate detail, this piece is part of an ongoing series inspired by the wildlife that surrounds our home in Wimberley.
