Roadrunners have become a familiar part of everyday life since moving to the Texas Hill Country—I spot them in our backyard, darting across the road, and appearing when I least expect them. This original watercolor study captures the quirky personality and unmistakable silhouette of one of my favorite local characters through loose, expressive brushwork and delicate washes of color.
