Inspired by a 1951 postcard of the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park, this painting is a personal interpretation of one of my favorite views in Texas. Rather than documenting every detail, softened color and atmospheric distance create a sense of memory, allowing the landscape to feel expansive, quiet, and timeless. It reflects those moments when the vastness of the desert encourages us to slow down and simply take it all in.
